Over the past five weeks the Share a Smile campaign has been sharing the love for South West leisure and tourism, reaching more than 1.1 million people through social media. A big thank you goes out to everyone who has so far got involved – we’ve loved finding out about your favourite places!
With new nationwide lockdown restrictions coming into effect on Thursday, November 5, we wanted to share an update on what this means for the campaign.
We know many of our friends in the sector will be unable to trade during this period, while others are adapting their business models to focus on takeaway and delivery services or online sales.
It may not be possible for people to visit the places they love, but we’re determined to continue supporting our region’s leisure and tourism businesses in these difficult times. So for the next four weeks at least, the Share a Smile campaign will be showcasing how people can shop local for food, drink and gifts in the lead-up to Christmas.
We’ll be posting guest blogs from local businesses about how they are adapting to continue delighting their customers. If you would like to share news of what you’re doing – whether it’s voucher schemes or delivery services – please do get in touch.
And remember, you can always encourage your happy customers to recommend you by posting a photo on Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #ShareaSmileSW.
Stay safe and keep smiling.
