Like so many things, Halloween will be a bit different this year due to Covid-19. But attractions have been working hard to make sure families can still get out and have fun safely.
Here’s our pick of some of the spooky events happening across the region this weekend. To enjoy many of these you’ll need to book in advance, so please check before travelling.

Cornwall
Halloweden – the Eden Project has lots going on, including a story audio trail and a chance to meet some bewitching birds of the night.

Spooky Pendennis Castle – follow the trail to solve creepy clues and gather round for spooky stories.
Flambards Victorian Village Spooky Pumpkin Trail – hunt high and low to complete the quiz and win wickedly wonderful treats.
Devon
Spook-fest at Crealy – highlights include singing pumpkins, a scarecrow scare maze, terrifying tricks and a scare bear show.
Go batty at Kents Cavern – enjoy an underground pumpkin hunt and woodland bat challenge.
Spooky Sutton Harbour – try out Plymouth’s Halloween Trail, paint your own pottery or join a Halloween Party Cruise.
Killerton’s Pumpkin Trail – wander through the autumnal colours at Killerton while looking out for pumpkins and fun facts.
Halloween Happenings at World of Country Life – activities include pumpkin carving and a Halloween trail.
Somerset
Hestercombe Halloween Trail – unravel the mystery of Coplestone and the Peculiar Potions.
Ferne’s Halloween Festival – build a scarecrow, carve your own pumpkin and more at the animal sanctuary.
Halloween at Wookey Hole – attractions include a terrifying ghost train and Halloween grotto.
Pumpkin Fest at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm – pumpkin themed fun for families in North Somerset.
Dorset
A-scarium at Sea Life Weymouth – take a step into the creepy deep and find the sea witch’s missing potion ingredients.
Northe Fort Halloween Family Fun Day – lots to enjoy, including a magic show, storytelling, ghost tours, face painting and craft making.
Walled Garden Autumn Trail – find the hidden pumpkins to win a prize.
Bristol
Halloween at Bristol Aquarium – take on the pumpkin trail and get up close to monsters of the sea.
Clifton Observatory Halloween Trail – children can explore the spookily decorated observatory and cave to earn a Halloween treat.
